Every Tribe & Nation Initiative

About Us

Every Tribe & Nation Initiative. Our four-fold focus is Welcome & Resettlement, Network Development, Leadership Development, and Multi-ethnic Church Planting. We serve the Province of the Anglican Church in North America. Our posture is one of humility, collaboration and serving. For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake (II Cor. 4:5).

Our Mission Statement

Our primary mission is articulated by our provincial constitution which is “to extend the Kingdom of God by so presenting Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit that people everywhere will come to put their trust in God through Him, know Him as Savior, and serve Him as Lord in the fellowship of the Church. The chief agents of this mission to extend the Kingdom of God are the people of God.”

Consistent with our provincial mission, ETNI’s more particular focus is to envision and equip the Anglican Church in North America through training, developing, and resourcing the local parish to engage the global diaspora living among their communities.

Welcome & Resettlement

Focuses on developing legal immigration clinics and support systems for the first 18 months of the immigrant-refugee journey. It will include an emphasis on the front end of the immigration journey, starting with creating a warm and inclusive settlement process for our newest friends among us.  It is not just about opening doors; it’s about building genuine relationships and fostering a sense of belonging from our long-established parishes to our newest church plants.

Leadership Development

Focus of leadership development within the context of ministry among the international community. Attention will be given to identifying and training both lay and clergy leadership to serve new multi-ethnic parishes.  The development of theological education tracks for non-western clergy within the ACNA.

Network Development

Focuses on the development of networks based on affinity, ethnicity, or language. ETNI will focus on connecting church leaders and communities across the continent based on their unique ethnicity and language. By developing strong, ETNI networks, we can share resources, ideas, and best practices along with support systems that facilitate cooperative ministry within the ACNA.

Multi-ethnic Church Planting

This focus describes support and training that assists Parishes and planters in developing healthy multicultural planting models. It also identifies and shares “best practices” through resources such as podcasts, our website, and conferences. The focus will include addressing the challenges of planting multi-ethnic and transcultural churches, with an emphasis on grounding our practices within an Anglican biblical theology.

We are currently renovating our website. Stay tuned for more updates coming soon. In the meantime contact us if you have any questions or want more information on ETN
